Welcome to Based on a True Crime, a podcast where Chelsea’s love of true crime and David’s love of horror movies intersect. Each week we will be discussing murders and/or mysteries, along with the pop culture they have spawned.

Episode 03: Cropsey

The legend of Cropsey has been told around many campfires in the New England area as a warning tale for misbehaving children, and inspired a number of slasher movies. In the 1970s, the legend seemingly came to life when children on Staten Island began disappearing. Save one, their bodies were never found. This is Based on a True Crime.
